Who We Are

Hurst Eye Care Center (HEC) is a freestanding full-service practice of optometry founded in 1996 by Dr. Robert K. Hurst. Hurst Eye Care Center was established on the premise that complete eye care is more than just an eye exam and glasses as many often assume. To Dr. Hurst and our center, complete eye care is about VISION, STYLE, and all things YOU; your eyes, your health, your lifestyle, your schedule, your budget, your experience.

It is our passion to enhance, promote, and preserve optimal vision health and eyesight in the Northwest Arkansas community in a personalized and welcoming atmosphere, both on-site and online.

Hurst Eye Care Center has become a premier eye care facility in Northwest Arkansas since 1996. We attribute much of our ongoing success to word-of-mouth referrals and our constant commitment to providing legendary customer service. About Dr. Hurst

Founder and Owner

Dr. Hurst is the founder and owner of Hurst Eye Care Center. He first began his optical career at the age of 16. What began as a part-time job in high school soon turned into a passion and lifelong endeavor. He received his Bachelors' Degree in Biology in 1992 from North Eastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Dr. Hurst went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from the nation's premier college of optometry, Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

He has been taking care of the eye care needs of Northwest Arkansas for the past 25 years from the same location, here in Bentonville, AR. When he is not doing that, Dr. Hurst enjoys spending time outdoors with his 3 sons, four-wheeling in the neighborhood, fishing at the North Pole, or pacifying his passion for classic cars in the garage.

Received Certificate of Achievement for Refractive Surgery & CO2 Laser
Certified in Paragon CRT for Corneal Refractive Therapy
Has received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award from the Lion's Club International for Dedicated Humanitarian Services as well as been recognized for his dedication & outstanding service to the Bentonville Noon Lion's Club Vision Screening Program.
Proudly served as participant in the Bentonville Public Schools Internship Program mentoring several area high school students over the past 23 years
